MY STORY

From a very young age I was in to building, drawing and looking for ways to express myself creatively.

At 18 onwards l enrolled into Salisbury Art College and did several art courses before being accepted with an unconditional placement in the Bournemouth Arts University on a film and animation degree course. After leaving Bournemouth l studied stop motion animation at UWE (University of West England) under the guidance of tutors working for Aadmen and other production houses around Bristol.

Taking those skills and a strong understanding of film and media l have been running S53 as a hub for freelance work in education and promoting in house and creative classes for over 25 years. Now I have fully turned my hand to painting and refining and honing S53 over the years has been a natural process working with artists who have exhibited with us as well as inviting new artist to become part of the studio’s ethos.

IN THE NEWS

This Wiltshire artist walks the wide chalk landscapes, making quick. Sketches of trees or hills that catch his eye, working on them in his studio to create abstracted but evocative contemporary takes on the traditional landscape view. He’s keeping alive the spirt of Constable, who also painted Salisbury and Stonehenge.
